Once again, the weekend of February 22-24, 2013, the streets of downtown Perrysburg will come alive with excitement, family-fun activities, ice carvings of every imaginative design and two nights of music, food and your favorite microbrew or wine.
Downtown Perrysburg, Inc. with Ed Schmidt of Perrysburg proudly presents the Annual WINTERFEST 2013, a National Ice Carving Association sanctioned event. There will be more than two dozen world champion professional and amateur ice carvers to compete for prize money and then display their ice creations. Over 50 ice carvings sponsored by area businesses and organizations will also line both sides of Louisiana Avenue for the public’s viewing pleasure.
Friday night, between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m., will feature a Micro Brew Tasting, highlighting 24 different specialty beers inside a heated enclosed tent on West Second Street at Louisiana. There will be free food, music and ice carving demonstrations, not to mention a whole lot of fun! Tickets are only $10 and include eight free microbrew tastings. There is also the opportunity to reserve a table of ten for the purchase of 10 tickets for $120.
Saturday, during the day, Louisiana Avenue will be transformed into a winter wonderland family fest that will include all sorts of fun activities, crafts, entertainment and performers. You will not want to miss the national professional and amateur ice carving competition going on from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Saturday night, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., hosted by Heidelberg Distributing, will feature more than 24 specialty wines, music, Taste of Perrysburg by area restaurants, and the National Ice Carving Awards. Tickets are just $25 each and include unlimited wine tasting.
