Bob Seeley, often called the greatest living boogie-woogie pianist, will be the guest soloist at the University of Toledo’s annual Art Tatum Scholarship fundraiser. The concert is Tuesday, February 26 at 7 p.m. in the UT Center for Performing Arts Recital Hall.
Tickets for the Art Tatum Memorial Jazz Scholarship Concert are available at the door the night of the performance. Prices are $15 for general public and $5 for students, seniors and UT faculty and staff.
The concert is a benefit for the Art Tatum Memorial Jazz Scholarship Fund, which benefits musically gifted African-American undergraduate music majors, preferably a jazz pianist. The scholarship was established in 1994 and endowed in 2002 by various donors, including the Art Tatum Jazz Heritage Society.
