One of the world’s top scholars on Pompeii, he co-directs the Oplontis Project, a collaboration with the Archaeological Superintendency of Pompeii and the King’s Visualisation Lab (King’s College, London), which is conducting a systematic study of a huge luxury villa that dates 50 BC-CE 79.
