Top Nature Conservancy Scientist to Speak at MVCDSPublished: 05/13/2011 7:00 am By: Katie Warchol
Nearly seven billion people share the earth, but a lot more goes into being good neighbors than getting along with one another.
Lead scientist of The Nature Conservancy M. Sanjayan will touch on what it means to be good advocates for the planet in his lecture Monday, May 16 as part of Maumee Valley Country Day School's Global Education Speaker Series. Sanjayan specializes in informing the public on conservation issues and wildlife ecology as they pertain to human well-being and man-made actions. He often takes the Nature Conservancy's message of creating a better world through sustainable practices, conservation, education, and the collaboration of individuals, governments, non-profit organizations and corporations to public engagements like this, as well as the media spotlight.
Sanjayan's appearance is part of MVCDS's Global Education Speaker Series, which strives to introduce students and other Toledoans to world issues through engaging speakers.
