Artomatic
419! is the largest nonjuried, multimedia arts showcase in Northwest Ohio. For three consecutive Saturdays in April, nearly 300 visual, literary, musical, and performance artists will transform two long-vacant buildings in Downtown Toledo into a big, funky, free-for-all arts party! The event will take place on April 2, 9 & 16, 2011, which means it's just around the corner. But before the event launches, the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo (who presents the program) is
holding a special fundraiser at The Ottawa Tavern (1815 Adams St.) on Saturday, March 5
from 6-9 p.m.
The good folks at the OT have graciously agreed to donate all tips left between 6 and 9 p.m. to Artomatic 419! to assist with event preparation and execution. Featured will be guest bartenders from ACGT, including Michelle Carlson and Ryan A. Bunch, along with snippets of event entertainment from the likes of local poet Andrew Michael Field with special guests, and musical ditties by Old West End Records' Ben Langlois.
Come out and visit with the artists and volunteers of Artomatic 419!, as well as ACGT staff for a few cold drinks, and the OT's excellent bar menu. Learn a little about the event, and meet and mingle with some wonderful members of Toledo's Creative Community.
Artomatic 419! will take place on April 2, 9 & 16 2011 in Downtown Toledo at 407 Washington St. and 25 S. St. Clair Street, and will feature nearly 300 visual, literary, and performing artists over the three-day run.
