About Our Practice
The focus of Dr. Patel’s practice is to provide unsurpassed spine care while
dutifully fulfilling a responsibility to enrich the field of spine care.
Dr. Patel utilizes various imaging studies, electrodiagnostic evaluations, astute
physical examinations, and targeted x-ray guided procedures to accurately diagnose
and effectively treat painful spinal conditions.
By employing a comprehensive approach, Dr. Patel addresses spinal biomechanics,
biochemistry, pathophsyiology, neurophysiology, mechanism of injury, and adjustment
to injury in providing patient care.
Dr. Patel’s decision-making is guided by evidence-based and knowledge-based medicine regarding spine care, and he incorporates advanced research findings into his practice.
Treatment interventions are formulated based on a tiered treatment approach utilizing physical therapy, oral anti-inflammatory medications, and activity modification.
Minimally invasive, X-ray guided procedures may then be offered before surgery.
Dr. Patel treats various conditions such as work and sport related spinal
injuries, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease or herniated discs, radiculopathy
or a "pinched nerve," facet joint arthritis, hip joint arthritis, sacroiliac
joint dysfunction, and compression fractures.
The goal is to safely return the injured individual, worker, or athlete back to his or her prior level of function, productivity, or performance.
