11th Annual Rock Show Rocks the Bells at Blarney
by Ryan A. Bunch
For 11 years now, Toledo has been set ablaze with rock and roll fury the night before Christmas Eve with the Annual Rock Show. Yes, like a Christmas tree too close to Drunk Uncle Larry and his Flaming Fart Trick, this baby is cooking the whole house down!
Some of Toledo's best, most-coveted, and ironically most elusive cover bands break out of the woodwork for the night, making you jingle your balls all the way down those decked out halls until the wee hours of the morning. Join The Sweatpants, Empire Drift (pictured), and The Twins Band on Friday, December 23 from 8-11 p.m. at The Blarney Bullpen (601 Monroe Street).
The night boasts a $5 cover that benefits the Children's Theatre Workshop, one of Toledo's greatest creative youth outlets. Support kids, dummy. Support rock-n-roll!
