Call for Artists: Old West End Festival Art Fair June 2 & 3

It's never too early to start getting excited for Toledo's largest neighborhood festival, held annually the first week of June in the historic Old West End. This lively annual gathering of Old West End (OWE) neighbors, friends, and fair-goers is known for good times, good cheer, and great art on display at the grounds surrounding the Toledo Museum of Art's Glass Pavilion. The tree-lined TMA grounds provide a shady and welcoming environment for creatives to display their works for sale, and for visitors to comfortably stroll and select works for purchase.

The OWE Art Fair Committee is currently seeking artists to participate in the two-day juried, out-door art fair held Saturday and Sunday from 10am-5pm. Standard 12x12”exhibition spaces are available for $125, or select a double 12x24” space for $200 if you have an abundance of talent to share with the community. Artists who submit their registration by March 31st are offered a $25 discount on booth fees and guaranteed a central display location within the Glass Pavilion garden. The final deadline for registration is May 15. Please note: Jewelers are encouraged to apply early, as those spaces tend to fill early.

For artists who have never participated in the festival, previous exhibitors have noted that the art fair volunteer staff are extremely friendly and amenable, the spacious TMA grounds are a superior exhibition stage, and fair attendance is strong. Exhibitors with quality work, an attractive display, and reasonable prices will do well at the art fair. You'll most likely make a few new friends throughout the weekend as well.

Other highlights of the festival that draw visitors to the festival include: historic home tours of Toledo's oldest and most stately houses, children's activities, musical entertainment, a food court, beer garden, and who could forget the eccentric King Wamba Parade through the neighborhood on Saturday morning.
