Nine's A Group

Scott Hudson has a passion for Toledo's emerging artists. His beautiful gallery in downtown Sylvania hosts numerous exhibitions spotlighting regional artists of every medium. Hudson Gallery has a reputation for featuring several artists all at once with its popular Group of Nine series.
 
"Hudson Gallery provides the opportunity in a professional setting for both established and new artists to exhibit and sell their work," Hudson said.  "Our Group of Nine exhibits are always wonderfully eclectic, touching on many medias, styles and genres."

Saturday, February 18th marks the official opening of the fifth rendition of the Group of Nine exhibit. This version runs through March 31st, and features pieces from Steven J. Athanas, Craig Fisher, Kevin Schroeder, Arturo Rodriguez, Jeff Mack, Isaac Klunk, Scott Ziegler, Mike Sohikian and James Freeman.

The gallery's aim is to promote all nine artists living and working in our area, presenting an eclectic exhibition that includes painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture and glass.

Saturday is the perfect opportunity to pick the artists' brains. A free opening reception runs from 4-6 p.m. and includes light refreshments.

"The gallery will be full of many artists, as well as collectors and others that support the arts," Hudson said. "It's a great time to talk to the exhibiting artists about their intent, process and voice."

Come and check out what your neighborhood artists have been working on as of late. This diverse exhibit offers the chance to speak not to just one community artist, but nine talented creatives.
