Nova Scotian-born rockers, The Trews, return to town on Friday to rock Frankie's. Having scooped up a handful of accolades early in their career, including a Juno Award Nomination (Candian Grammy) for New Group of the Year in 2004, and Single of the Year in 2005, The Trews got off to a hot start in Canadian rock radio, and hasn't quite shown signs of slowing. Continuing to pick up fans, critical acclaim, nominations, and awards over the past six years, The Trews recorded their most recent record, last April's Hope & Ruin, with production by Gord Sinclair of legendary Canadian rock group, The Tragically Hip. Since 2003, the band has had twelve top 10 rock radio singles in Canada, including two chart toppers, sold over 300,000 albums, performed 850 shows worldwide, and has shared the stage with rock legends including The Rolling Stones, Robert Plant, Guns 'n' Roses, KISS, and many, many more.

Catch The Trews on Friday, May 11 at Frankie's Inner City (308 Main St.) 9 p.m. $8 advance, $10 at the door. The Ryan Michaels Band, I Of Radio, and Halero open. www.frankiesinnercity.com
