People Being Human bring the rock to Doc's

If you haven't kept up with People Being Human lately, you might want to. Since the band's debut at Artomatic 419! in April 2011 (under a different moniker), they've come quite a long way. As indicated by their three separate Saturday sets a few weeks ago at this year's Old West End Festival, the band is in increasingly high demand.

A funky blend of straight-ahead rock and indie grooves, People Being Human tosses in touches of jazzy riffs and big whooping choruses to make catchy, fun music that's familiar enough, but far different from what most bands are doing around town. Guitar, bass, and drums alternately lead and accent bright horns and twinkling key riffs that are a pure, rocking, good time delight.

This week, People Being Human takes up residence at Doc Watson's (1515 S. Byrne Rd.) on the evening of Friday, June 22. You'd be well advised to check it out. Visit People Being Human on Facebook.
