Call For Buskers: Valentine Theatre Celebration of the Arts
The Valentine Theatre is all set to host a weekend-long celebration of the arts from Friday, September 14 to Sunday, September 16, 2012. The weekend begins with an outdoor Plaza Party featuring the music of Booyah!, the Blade’s Battle of the Band winner for 2011, together with the Eight Fifteens and DJ, Nathan Mattimoe.
The event runs from 5 pm to 11 pm and features a wine garden, beer selections, culinary treats from local restaurants, tours of the theatre and the opportunity to enjoy the last weekend of summer.
The Valentine board and staff are asking all area buskers (street performers and artists) if they would be interested in performing throughout the vicinity of Adams and Superior St. during the evening’s festivities. If you wish to participate, the Valentine will give you a complimentary ticket to the Plaza Party event as well as 4 tickets to our upcoming “Silver Screen Classic” movie series for the 2012-13 season.
