Sportway (located at 5950 Angola Rd.) is hosting its free Family Fun Day and Food Drive on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from Noon to 10pm.  For the admission price of 3 cans of food, guests will receive three tickets for go-karts, mini-golf and batting cages (one each).  All food will be donated to the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank.  There is no limit to the amount of canned food items and for every three donated cans, you’ll receive three tickets--good for the entire 2013 season!

Sportway is excited to present the event.

“Food is essential to living and we wanted to give back to the community in a meaningful way,” said Andy Anderson, owner of Sportway.  “Offering this free day will be fun for the whole family and at the same time provide food for needy families in northwest Ohio.”

And Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank understands the big issue affecting our community.

“The need for nutritious food is a continuing struggle,” said James M. Caldwell, President & CEO of the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank. “One in five children goes to bed hungry. We are working to eliminate hunger in eight counties in Northwest Ohio and we rely on the generosity of individuals and groups to achieve this goal.”
