TSA Presents Undisclosed, an art exhibition fundraiser.

Toledo School for the Arts, a non-profit, public, charter school in downtown Toledo, presents UNDISCLOSED, a new TSA fundraiser, on Friday June 21st, 2013. Undisclosed will take place in their own gallery, Gallerie 333. The event will feature 100 12”x12” wood canvases of original artworks on display created by 100 different local artists.

UNDISCLOSED will showcase the work of local artists including some pieces from TSA’s own faculty and students. Bethany Urbanski, TSA Development Assistant explained the inspiration for the event, “We got the idea from a similar event in Europe. Pieces of art that were the same size and raffled off without knowing the artist. You choose the art you want and find out the artist when you flip it over. It could be a well-known national artist, or a TSA alumna! We wanted to introduce TSA to the young, hip artists of Toledo. There is amazing talent here and this was a fun way to expose their work and also get them involved with TSA. It's a fresh new fundraiser for the school and I'm really excited about it! All of the work so far has been amazing!”

Many artistic contributors also help support the Toledo art community. TSA has 100 of these contributing local artists to be a part of Undisclosed. Urbanski explained the process of how TSA found these artists for the event, “We started with artists we knew. We have a great relationship with The Art Supply Depo, who helped us solicit artists, as well as a few committee members, including Dustin Hostetler of Grumpy's Deli, who is a graphic artist himself. We have local "celebrities" participating as well like Republican, Jon Stainbrook and 13ABC's Kristian Brown. Even Toledo's superstar, Crystal Bowersox, is doing a piece! We have been very blessed to have the support of the arts community.”

According to Urbanski, there is not a theme for the artists. “They are free to create anything they want. It just has to be on the 12"x12" wood canvas.” The artists won’t be a secret for the whole night! It will be a big night for Toledo School for the Arts and all the participating artists. For a sneak peek of the artworks, they will be on display during this year’s “Art Walk and Toledo School for the Arts’ Death by Chocolate event.”  The event will include a raffle for the artworks at 8pm. Tickets are $100 per couple and proceeds will go directly to the school. Undisclosed will premiere at Toledo School for the Arts’ Gallerie 333 in June on Friday the 21st from 7pm to 9pm.
