Carlos Mendez, owner and executive chef of the Cocina de Carlos Mexican restaurants in Perrysburg and Waterville, announces the Grand Opening of Carlos’ Poco Loco at 1809 Adams Street on Tuesday March 21--the first full day of Spring. This new cantina will feature Mexican and Cuban food specialties, a lunch buffet as well as late night menu and live music. Beverages in the large bar area will include craft, domestic and imported beers, over 50 varieties of 100% agave tequila and traditional cocktails.

Mr. Mendez said “We are excited to be opening in Toledo’s Uptown District, a vibrant entertainment area that is growing in popularity. Carlos’ Poco Loco will be a great place to meet friends and entertain, enjoy dinner in the dining room, and listen to live music. Our emphasis on serving delicious fresh food will continue and we will offer both Mexican and Cuban cuisine. We also have a special late night bar menu and expect to be open much later than our other venues”.

The special Grand Opening Celebration and fundraiser will be held on Tuesday March 21, 2017 from 5 pm till eleven. He added “There will be a $5 per person cover charge at the door for the Grand Opening Celebration on March 21 with 100% of the proceeds donated to Toledo’s non-profit SeaGate Food Bank.”

“Like Cocina de Carlos, our Poco Loco will continue “The True Taste of Mexico™” and also feature a selection of authentic Cuban dishes prepared by our sous chef who is a native of Cuba. Everything we prepare is absolutely fresh and made from scratch.  We are committed to maintain a strict homemade approach to cooking that results in unique and authentic tastes” said Mr. Mendez.

Carlos’ Poco Loco (meaning “a little crazy”) is located at 1809 Adams Street near 18th Street in the Uptown Toledo neighborhood. Poco Loco promises to be a very different fun-oriented venue with a variety of live music and other entertainment possibilities. Rooms can be reserved for private functions. Like Carlos Mendez’ other restaurants, the emphasis will be on food quality and freshness.

Carlos’ Poco Loco plans to be open seven days a week from 11 AM at 1809 Adams Street in Uptown Toledo. Online at www.carlospocoloco.com.
