The Arts Commission welcomes you to a spring fundraiser, The Mix Blō Out. This year we’ll celebrate local arts and culture in two adjacent creative spaces in downtown Toledo, Graphite Design + Build and Gathered Glassblowing Studio.
Date and Time: Friday, May 12, 2017, General Admission 8:30pm-12:30am, VIP Preview 7:30-8:30pm.
Location: Graphite Design + Build and Gathered Glassblowing Studio, 15-23 N. Huron
Art Auction: We love our local artists! They continue to be the driving force in making The Mix Toledo’s best party. Our art auction is curated by Carlos for a second year,and features original artworks by local artists.
Featured artists include Jamie Carlin, JC Christy, Jonathan Davis, Julie Draeger, Penny Gentieu, Alli Hoag, Scott Horn, Jemma Hostetler, Eamon King, Natalie Lanese, Jefferson Nelson + Josh Byers, Stephen Owczarzak, Adam Sanzenbacher, Ben Schonberger, Robin Schultes + Patrick Dubreuil, Phoebe Sloan, Zachariah Szabo, Brach Tiller, Mark Why, and Eric Zeigler.
Entertainment: The Mix Blō Out brings the best of regional talent together to keep the party jumping. Guests will be able to enjoy the diverse entertainment provided by groups such as New Orleans Party Asylum, Gabriel Brass Band, Scott Hafferkamp, Joel Hazard Trio, Bob Rex Quartet, DJ Rob Sample, Bitch Thunder, Erythro-Bizarre: Auzzy Blood and Sanguine. PhotoBoothLive returns this year to record the fun for all to see.
Artist Demonstrations: Stop by the hot shop at Gather Glassblowing Studio for demonstrations of glassblowing techniques. View live artwork creation by Aaron Bivins and Young Artists At Work Apprentices. Take a turn at the interactive silkscreening station with JŪPMODE.
Silent Auction: In addition to paintings by Aaron Bivens and Young Artist At Work Apprentices, silent auction offerings will include tasting packages, hands-on arts experiences, mosaic windows by Gail Christofferson, and more.
Catering: Enjoy treats by Revolution Grille and other Toledo favorites, including Registry Bistro, Black Kite Coffee and Pies, and Cynthia’s Catering.

Event Benefits: Proceeds from The Mix Blō Out will benefit the programs and activities of The Arts Commission, including Young Artists at Work, The Art
Loop and Creative Placemaking.
Tickets: Tickets are $85 per person. VIP Tickets are available at $135 each. VIP attendees can preview the silent auction, check out the unique work spaces of Graphite Design + Build, view a glassblowing demonstration, and enjoy a specialty food selection.
