The Franciscan Center of Lourdes University is pleased to announce its June 2017 slate of events.
 
Thursday, June 1
The Sylvania Franciscan Village presents the 2017 Karl Rahner Lecture in honor of Father Jim Bacik from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Guest Lecturer Father Donald Cozzens will address “The Last Priests in America: Being Catholic without ‘Father.’” A reception follows. Tickets are $10 per person in advance and $15 at the door. Monday, June 5
The Jewish Federation of Greater Toledo offers the continued celebration of the 5th Annual Toledo Jewish Film Festival at 7 p.m. Huntington Bank is the presenter of the series. The Film Festival is also offered on June 12, 19 and July 12. General admission is $7 per film, per person. The Sisters of St. Francis honors 11 Sisters for their Jubilee Anniversaries of 75 years, 60 years and 50 years. Lourdes University offers Registration Days for undergraduate students who will begin classes in fall 2017. Each day, students register beginning at 9:30 a.m. The program is from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. New students have the opportunity to meet University faculty and staff, interact with new and current students, register for fall classes, learn about orientation and the First Year Experience program, meet with financial aid representatives and tour the campus and residence halls.
