Children's Theatre Workshop Presents A Spooky Double Feature

Keeping Up With Kids  |  09/20/2017 9:30 am

Vampires? Check. Zombies? Check. Hilarious comedy? Check and check.

Children’s Theatre Workshop’s Teen Company presents two short plays, “Super Scary” and “All I Really Need to Know I Learned From Being a Zombie,” October 13-15, 2017.

In “Super Scary,” (by Tim Kochenderfer) a poor storyteller just wants to give the audience a good scare with his thrilling tale, only to be interrupted over and over by the characters who want to chime in with their own less-than-spooky stories.

“All I Really Need To Know I Learned From Being a Zombie,” (by Jason Pizzarello) provides tongue-in-cheek life lessons and imparts wisdom that only zombies can offer.

If these silly scares aren’t enough, audiences can walk across the hall to the Haunted Collingwood and show their CTW ticket stub to get $3.00 off their ticket to the CAC’s haunted house on October 13 and 14, 2017.

“Super Scary” and “All I Really Need To Know…” will be presented at the Tansey-Zimmerman Theatre, in the Collingwood Arts Center, located at 2413 Collingwood Blvd, Toledo, OH 43620. Performances are October 13-14, 2017 at 6:00 pm and October 15, 2017 at 2:00 pm. The show runs at about 90 minutes with a brief intermission.

Tickets for this production are $8 for students/seniors and $10 for general admission and can be purchased online at www.ctwtoledo.org/tickets, or at the door.

CTW's 2017-18 Teen Company programs are supported in part by the Ohio Arts Council, which receives support from the State of Ohio and the National Endowment for the Arts, and HCR ManorCare. All I Really Need... and Super Scary are produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc (www.playscripts.com)
