The Sylvania Community Arts Commission (SCAC) is proud to announce the latest display of public art: nine electrical boxes are now pieces of art in Downtown Sylvania. Earlier this year, a panel of judges selected the art from dozens of submissions from local artists. You can check it out this Friday, October 6th during the Red Bird Arts District Art Walk. The artists will be recognized for their work selected as “Creaticity” reproductions during a special reception at 5:00 pm at the corner park at Maplewood and Main Streets.  Then all are invited to pick up a map and take a walk around downtown Sylvania to see all of the installations and shop the art throughout the district.

Artists include: Biz Drouillard | Blue Moonshine; Craig Fisher | Right of Spring; Pat Cheal | Muskegon; Raja Aossey-Jensen | Collaboration; Steven Athanas | Three Sisters Eating Ice Cream; Dani Fuller | Take a Dip; Kayla Wright | Budgies;James Corcoran | The Share Cropper; and Margerita Gerborg | Aquatica.

Maps highlighting the installations will be available in the park at the Maplewood and Main Street intersection and at the SCAC office. Thank you to CGS Imaging - Creative Graphic Solutions for the reproductions of the artists work.
