Levis Commons Tree Lighting Taking It Back To The 90's

The Levis Commons 50-foot Christmas Tree will be lit with an upbeat, throwback, 90s Christmas theme on Saturday, November 18th.  But it’s not only the tree that will glow bright with this event.  The Tree Lighting will once again kick off the “Best Gift Ever” toy drive for Lucas County Children Services, bringing joy to hundreds of kids in the Toledo and Perrysburg area this Christmas.

The 13th Annual Tree Lighting will start at 6pm with Santa arriving in an entourage of dancers from Whitmer High School’s Dance Team, and baton twirlers from Perrysburg Twirling Sophisticates. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be led to their brand-new Santa House where they will spend the season greeting hundreds of children! The new Santa House was custom built for the North Pole visitors, and meticulously decorated compliments of Arhaus Furniture.

Immediately after Santa’s arrival, local 90s band The Skittle Bots, will take over the stage with an interactive, upbeat, make you dance to stay warm, throwback concert with your favorite 90s music and Christmas tunes.  A show guaranteed to keep you warm until the countdown to the magical moment when thousands of twinkling lights will pop on, illuminating the 50-foot tree at 7pm!

“We are excited about this high energy kickoff to our annual toy donation campaign and all things Christmas,” said Allison Schroeder, Levis Commons Marketing Director.  “This event welcomes back our horse drawn carriage rides, seasonal tenants, visits with Santa, Mrs. Claus On The Go, tours of the inside of the tree and our letters to Santa mailbox!” These activities and more can be found on the website at www.shopleviscommons.com.

New unwrapped toys will be accepted during the Tree Lighting and through the entire holiday season in select Levis Commons merchants.
