Toledo Museum of Art (TMA) is hosting a Member Appreciation Day on Sunday, May 13, 2018 from noon to 5 p.m. to thank Museum members for their ongoing support.

Museum members will receive a special member tote (while supplies last). Activities include sweet treats in Libbey Court, a make-your-own seed bomb project in the Green Room and a free performance by pianist Solungga Liu in the Great Gallery at 3 p.m. Members can also register for one of three exclusive docent-led tours:

Selfies Before Smart Phones: 1 p.m.
Discover how artists (even before smart phones and Instagram filters) made attempts to portray themselves.

Game of Thrones: 1:30 p.m.
Symbolic representations of kings, gilded accessories and extravagant portraits – learn more about depictions of royalty through the ages.

Haute Couture: 2 p.m.
We all know the latest fashion trends in 2018, but what fashion was all the rage and on point in centuries past?

Space for each tour is limited. To receive their free tote and to register for a tour, members should check-in at the registration table located in Herrick Lobby when they arrive.

Members and moms can also enjoy a stylish Mother’s Day brunch in the Museum Café. The special menu includes:

  • Two-smoked salmon, bacon, and scrambled egg handmade crepes with chive butter, served with a side of spicy avocado and peach salad: $12.00 per person
  • Child’s pancakes, bacon, and fresh fruit: $5.00 per person
  • Bloody Mary Bar (includes Bloody Mary mix, tomato juice and an assortment of garnishes): $7.00 per person plus tax
