The Toledo Area Humane Society is gearing up for its largest fundraiser of the year, PawVillion. This year’s event will take place on Friday, September 7, 2018 at the home of Susan and Allan Block, and is sure to be an evening that you won’t soon forget!

PawVillion guests will enjoy an amazing four-course meal prepared by local Chef Scott Peirce, owner of Tree City Catering. Chef Scott should need no introduction to guests who have attended PawVillion in the past two years. Having created such a stir with his brand of uncompromising fare we thought it was time he had the spotlight all to himself! When asked to be the featured Chef of the 6th annual PawVillion, Scott responded, “I am honored to be the featured chef and am excited to be back again for such a cause-worthy event.”

Susan Block and Chef Scott have worked together to plan and finalize the menu selections for the evening and we’re sure it won’t disappoint. When asked about hosting PawVillion again this year, Susan and Allan Block responded, “TAHS is a fantastic organization and one that is very dear to our hearts. Allan and I are really excited to be hosting PawVillion again this year for their benefit”.

Cocktails will be served at 6:00 pm, and guests will take their seats for dinner at 7:30 p.m. This year will see a return to the “big top” tent, back by popular demand. Dress is country club casual. Ladies are asked to wear flat or wedge shoes for the event. The event will be held on the lawn.

Guests will have the opportunity to bid on two auction items selected specifically for the event: a chance to win an “In Home Dining Experience” prepared personally by Chef Scott and a chance to have your very own pet be the featured “2019 PawVillion Pet of the Year”.

New this year, thanks to Lexus of Toledo, is the chance to win a brand new 2018 Lexus RX 350 by rolling six game dice, with all die landing on the number six. Cost per ticket to roll is $20. Don’t miss your chance to drive away in a brand new Lexus!

Tim Bublick, TAHS Board Chair, said, “Events like PawVillion are crucial to the existence of the Toledo Area Humane Society and the funds raised allow us to fulfill our mission and vision each and every year”. When asked how important the funds raised at PawVillion are to the shelter’s livelihood, Stephen Heaven, President/CEO, responded, “Events like this ensure that we’re able to continue providing lifesaving services to the pets of Lucas County”.

To help us achieve our goal of $125,000, we are asking individuals to participate in this year’s event as a Table Captain. As a Table Captain, you will bring at least nine other people to the event who share the same passion and support for TAHS as you do! Table Captains play an integral role in making PawVillion a success.

Amazing food, friends, and cocktails, all while supporting the Toledo Area Humane Society, what could be better?

The cost to attend is $250 per person. To reserve your tickets or to register to become a table captain, please call the shelter at 419-891-0594 or go online to www.ToledoHumane.org.

The event is presented by the Walter E. Terhune Memorial Fund, KeyBank, Trustee, Block Communications Inc., Buckeye CableSystem, Buckeye Telesystem, The Blade, HCR ManorCare, VCA and Lexus of Toledo.
