The Rosary Cathedral is a Roman Catholic church, known for its unique architectural beauty and sheer size. Finished in 1931 during the Great Depression, it was built with the city’s sister city, Toledo, Spain, in mind, and designed in the Spanish Plateresque style by Pittsburgh architect William Perry. Among many architectural wonders, the cathedral houses an Ernest Skinner pipe organ, dedicated in 1931 by Palmer Christian, professor of music at University of Michigan.

The church’s interior was restored in 2000, and its grounds underwent restoration throughout the 2010s.
