For more than 40 years, the Ritter Planetarium at the University of Toledo has transported visitors of all ages to the moon and beyond. Public and school programs are offered throughout the year, as well as private functions upon request.

Current Public Program Schedule 


Public Planetarium shows on Fridays at 7:30 PM (8:30 PM in the summer) and Saturdays at 1 PM. Observing from Brooks/Ritter observatory following Friday shows, weather permitted.

Price of admission for public shows is $7 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and children between the ages of 12 and 4, and free for children under the age of 4.

Directions to the Planetarium:

The Ritter Planetarium (yellow star) on the main campus of the University of Toledo is located on the first floor of the Ritter Astrophysical Research Center that houses the offices for many of the University's Astronomy faculty. The main entrance is best accessed by turning onto N. Towerview Boulevard from W. Bancroft St. There are two public parking lots (blue "P"s) within short walking distance and a drop off circle directly outside of the entrance. If you are walking, the entrance is best approached from University Drive or N. Towerview Boulevard.
