Lucas County CASA trains adult volunteers to work for the juvenile court judges to advocate for the best interests of our community's abused and neglected children. CASA volunteers investigate the circumstances surrounding the case, make an independent evaluation of what is in the child's best interest -- both immediately and for the future -- attend court hearings, and monitor the case until a safe, permanent living plan is approved by the court.
