As Toledo, Ohio’s only NO KILL, all feline shelter, Paws & Whiskers Cat Shelter saved and placed over 796 cats and kittens in 2022! As a Board Governed 501(c)(3) public charity, Paws & Whiskers runs solely on private donations and support from the community. Paws & Whiskers receives no government funding and no United Way financial support. Chartered in October of 1996, the shelter is dedicated to providing a safe haven for our unwanted feline friends. Upon arrival at the shelter, each cat receives a thorough medical exam and veterinary care for any medical conditions. Prior to being adopted, every cat is microchipped, vaccinated and spayed or neutered. 

Paws & Whiskers offers several programs for the community such as our Senior to Senior Program, Reading with Cats Program, a Forever Family Program and an extensive Foster Care Program. Paws & Whiskers also has a Volunteer Program for all interested in helping with the care of our felines. The shelter offers a "cat back guarantee", any cat adopted from Paws & Whiskers will be taken back at any time, for any reason.
