The Toledo Area Humane Society is an open door facility that takes in any animal that is at risk of being abandoned, neglected or abused. We accept animals whose owners can no longer care for them, rescue animals from inappropriate conditions, and assist in finding homes for dog left at the animal control office. Our adoption program offers a wide selection of animals searching for a new home. Dogs, cats, birds, horses, rabbits, and a variety of other smaller animals can be seen throughout our facility. The Toledo Area Humane Society offers a full schedule of canine education classes including group classes for basic training, puppy socialization, good manners and advanced CGC training. Private tutoring and in-home training is also available. The Humane Society offers a variety of educational programs for children including single day classes, 5 week programs, summer camps and home school classes. On Sundays, the Humane Society runs a nail trimming clinic from 2pm to 4pm where you can have your pets nails clipped for a donation of $10.00. The Toledo Area Humane Society is open Tuesday - Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
