The Toledo Zoo would like to invite you to join us for your next special event!

The Toledo Zoo is known as America's most complete Zoo and is just the right size for an evening reception, an afternoon picnic or an all-day affair! Create an event to remember in one of our remarkable rental facilities or arrange for a group visit at our discounted group rates.  The Toledo Zoo offers a variety of opportunities to help create an event that everyone will enjoy.

Host your next catered event, business meeting, corporate picnic or party at the Toledo Zoo.  Unique facilities are available, such as the Nairobi Events Pavilion next to the Africa! Exhibit, the Giraffe and Cheetah birthday rooms (children's parties), the Aquarium, the Arctic Encounter (evenings), and the African Lodge (complete with audio visual equipment).

Parties & Weddings

Nairobi Events Pavilion
Part of the Zoo's spectacular new Africa! exhibit, the largest, most ambitious project in Toledo Zoo history, the spacious Nairobi Events Pavilion is the perfect place for your large-scale special event.

Max Capacity: 900+
Availabilty: Seasonal, days and evenings

African Lodge
This premier banquet and conference center will transport you and your guests to the wilds of Africa. Decorated with artifacts from the Dark Continent, the Lodge is a dramatic backdrop for any catered event. This state of the art facility is connected to the Primate Forest, turning your party into a real safari adventure!

Max Capacity: 130 people seated / 225 for a cocktail reception
Availabilty: Days and evenings; year round

Parties & Rehearsal Dinners

Aquarium
Create an exotic evening in the tropics. Nibble on hors d'oeuvres next to our coral reef or sip on a cocktail while our shark watches your every move. This rental facility is the only place in Toledo where the atmosphere is always warm and balmy.

Max Capacity: 70 people seated / 150 for a cocktail reception
Availabilty: Year-round, available after daily operatings hours except during the "Lights Before Christmas"

Arctic Encounter
Visit the Arctic during your next special event! In the Zoo's newest exhibit, you can watch the polar bears dog-paddle and the seals do swimming sommersaults. Enjoy your specially catered meal surrounded by waterfalls, running streams and artificial rock and ice exhibits. A party in the Arctic has never been so warm.

Maximum Capacity: 50 people seated, 100 for a cocktail reception
Availability: Year-round, available after daily operating hours.

Children's Parties & Small Family Gatherings

Giraffe and Cheetah Party Rooms (located in the Nairobi Events Pavilion)
From birthday parties to children's gatherings, let the Zoo host your party and take the stress out of get-togethers!

Maximum Capacity: 16 per room, including children and adults
Availability: Monday through Sunday, 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Meetings

Aquarium Conference Room
Ever thought about hosting your next business meeting in the Caribbean? With our 1,500-gallon Caribbean Reef as your backdrop, you can create a conference set up with an ocean view. Take a break from your business and stroll through the underwater world of sharks, exotic fish and sea life.

Maximum Capacity: 30 people seated conference style
Availability: Year-round, during regular operating hours and evenings until 11:00 p.m.

African Lodge Conference Rooms
With the distinctive African decor, our genuine conference rooms, located inside of our African Lodge, has the capability to provide the essentials for any business engagement. This unique environment will create an atmosphere that your clients or guests will never forget.

Maximum Capacity: 20 to 30 people seated conference style
Availability: Year-round, during regular operating hours and evenings until 11:00 p.m.

Picnics

Broadway Pavilion
This secluded event area is beautifully landscaped with native Ohio foliage creating the perfect setting for a company picnic or group party. Overlooking the historic Amphitheatre, the Broadway Pavilion provides shaded seating awayfrom the crowds of the park.
Maximum Capacity: 500 people
Availability: April through September during regular operating hours and evenings until 11:00 p.m.

Nairobi Events Pavilion

Presentations

Indoor Theatre
Built during the Works Progress Administration, this historic theatre is unparalleled in craftsmanship and design. It is located inside the Museum of Science and provides a dramatic backdrop for any performance or group presentation.
Maximum Capacity: 500 people
Availability: Year-round, during regular operating hours and evenings until 11:00 p.m.

Amphitheatre
This outdoor facility has been a Toledo landmark since 1936. Newly renovated in 1996, the Amphitheatre is perfect for an outdoor rally, concert or ceremony.

Maximum Capacity: 4,500 people
