Mission:
The YWCA of Northwest Ohio is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. The agency offers the following programs and services:

Domestic Violence Shelter

24/7 hotline and crisis shelter for survivors of domestic violence and their children

Child Care Resources and Referral

Technical Assistance, training, and support for Child Care Providers, and Referral services for parents seeking quality childcare.

Healthy Connections

The Healthy Connection program provides education and awareness on the importance of early detection against breast cancer by navigation and linkage to breast health providers. The YWCA-Pathways program provides education and resources to women of child-bearing age to address the epidemic of Infant Mortality.

Rape Crisis Services

24/7 hotline and crisis intervention for survivors of sexual assault and their families.

Permanent Housing

65 units with supportive services for formerly homeless women and their children.

Youth Development

Reducing the Risk, Draw the Line (comprehensive teen pregnancy prevention) and Teen Outreach Program/TOP (Service-Learning Club) programming delivered through Toledo Public Schools 6, 7, 8, and 10th grade health classes.

Racial Justice 

Promoting racial justice and equity throughout Northwest Ohio. The YWCA of Northwest Ohio’s approach to racial justice goes beyond changing hearts and minds. We strive to transform communities, systems, and public policy.
