After drinking every last drop, he sets off a cascade of comedic chaos. This heartwarming comedy embodies all the richness of Donizetti’s artistry and is simply too good to keep bottled up. Featuring laugh-out-loud moments and touching romance, this original, heartwarming comedy sparkles with wit and whimsy. Presented for the first time in over a decade, The Elixir of Love comes to life in a new production brought to life by conductor J. Ernest Green (Toledo Opera’s South Pacific, Ragtime, and The Merry Widow).

The Greater Toledo Train and Toy Show was launched on March 8th 1998. This year marks the 28th annual celebration of trains, toys, and all collectibles! This popular Toledo event is always held the 2nd Sunday of March. This show features a nice blend of vintage toys, tons of operating exhibits, new and old technology, a dash of the "maker movement", combined with the hobby of model railroading.

Spring Walleye Run
@ the banks of the Maumee River
Late March into April
Walleye are present all year long in the Maumee River in relatively low numbers; however, the number of walleye dramatically increases during annual spawning runs up these tributaries from Lake Erie. The Maumee River, especially near Perrysburg is a favorite of fisherman. A variety of factors trigger the spawning run including: water temperature, river flow, and hours of daylight. Walleye spawning occurs anytime from mid-March through mid-April, but frequently the peak activity occurs the last week of March through the second week of April.
YWCA Milestones 2026: A Tribute to Women

Holy Toledo Polka Days is scheduled for April 16, 17, 18 & 19, 2026 and will be held at the Holiday Inn & Suites, located at 27355 Carronade Drive in Perrysburg, Ohio. This Polka Festival will feature the some of the top polka bands in the industry, including the host band The DynaBrass, plus John Gora & Gorale, Polka Country Musicians, Polka Family, Aaron Socha & LIVEwire, Holy Toledo Jam Band and Polka DJ Kenny Olowin. The Opening Night Polka Party will be held on Thursday April 16th from 7:00PM-10:00PM at Danny's Cafe, located at 600 Dixie Highway in Rossford, OH.

Mills Trophy Race and Party

The Mills Trophy Race is the premier sailing race on Lake Erie. Held the second weekend after Memorial Day, the race from Toledo Harbor Light to Put-in-Bay combines a challenging night race with great social activities. The Mills Trophy Race, sponsored by the Toledo Yacht Club, began in 1907 as a test of navigational skills. The race has been held nearly every year since then and, in keeping with the deed of gift, is raced at night. Although the race was originally configured as a triangle beginning and ending at the club or the Toledo Harbor Light, since 1981 the race has begun at the harbor light and ended at Put-in-Bay.

Annual Historic Old West End Festival & King Wamba Parade

Residents are pleased to open up our neighborhood the first week in June each year and share it with the world. The Historic District is comprised of over 25 city blocks squared and hosts some of the finest architecture of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Victorian, Edwardian, Queen Anne, Romanesque, Arts and Crafts, Neoclassical, and Colonial Revival homes fill our tree-lined streets. Official events include House Tours, The King Wamba Parade, a Juried Art Fair, Entertainment, Children’s Activities, Food Vendors, OWE Stampede 5k run/walk, Beer Pavillion, Yard Sales, Antique Car Show, and Vendors Alley. The un-official events are front yard grill outs, brunches, porch musicians, street performers, face painting, parties, and curbside local artists to name a few. Come join the fun this year and enjoy the experience that’s been voted ‘Toledo’s Best Neighborhood’!
