Event Details:

Join us for this free, public symposium exploring the effects and cultural representations of WWI. Clustered around three over-arching concepts, “Impact, Identity, Innovation,” the day is divided into two morning sessions and one afternoon session. The papers offer a wide variety of topics, ranging from local, national and international history to art, music, theater, gender, crossdressing, and memory culture.

Participants include UT faculty Steven Bare, James Campbell, Friederike Emonds, Barbara Floyd, Matt Forte, Matt Foss, Thor J. Mednick, Linda Marie Rouillard, and Dale Snauwaert. Community members Michael McMaster, Richard Oliver, and Paula Reich also will present.

This event is free and open to the public.
