Huron Library is hosting a free six week Diabetes Empowerment Education Class called DEEP. Do you want to learn ways to better manage your diabetes? The goal of DEEP is to improve and maintain the quality of life of persons with Diabetes, to improve eating habits, to increase physical activity, to develop self-care skills, and to improve relationships between patients and health care providers. DEEP is open to older (60+) adults, in Erie County, living with Diabetes or pre-Diabetes. Family and/or caregivers are welcome to attend. Classes begin January 16, 2019 and will continue every Wednesday afternoon for six weeks, ending February 20th. Class time is 1:00-3:00pm. To register, please call 419-624-1856 or 800-564-1856.
