Event Details:

The 23rd Annual Health & Wellness Fair is scheduled at the newly renovated and expanded Thomas M. Wernert Center (TMWC), 208 W. Woodruff Avenue (at Ashland) in Toledo, Ohio for Friday, May 10, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. This free event is open to Lucas County residents age 18 years and older who live with mental illness.

TMWC’s Health & Wellness fair is held in May to honor Mental Health Month (MHM), which is dedicated to raising awareness about and busting the stigma around mental illness. This year’s national MHM theme is #4Mind4Body in hopes to educate people about the powerful connection between the mind and the body. Finding a reason to laugh, walking with a friend, meditating, playing with a pet, or journaling can go a long way in making individuals both physically and mentally healthy.

At the Heath & Wellness Fair, agencies from the community with a focus in both mental and physical health will be represented, including: A Renewed Mind, Arrowhead Behavior Health, Arts Commission, Best Baby Zone, BrightView, Empowered for Excellence, Genoa Pharmacy, Goodwill Industries, Harbor, Issue Box Theatre, Lucas County Mental Health & Recovery Services Board (MHRSB), Lucas County Suicide Prevention Coalition, Mercy Health, Mobile Meals, NAMI of Greater Toledo, NPI Wellness and Recovery Center, The Orion Institute, Owens Community College, Primary Care Solutions, Rescue Mental Health and Addiction Services, St. Paul’s United Methodist Marketplace for All, Toledo-Lucas County Health Department, YWCA and Zepf Center.

A healthy lunch will be provided, as well as drawings for raffle prizes.
