Event Details:

Metroparks is hosting a community blood drive on Thursday, May 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Ward Pavilion at Wildwood. Metroparks is proud to partner with the American Red Cross and be a part of all they do for our community. The enormity of what the Red Cross accomplishes every day is astounding and this is one of the reasons we chose to partner with them giving us all an opportunity to make a difference.

- The Red Cross must collect 14,000 units of blood each day.
- The blood collected by the Red Cross helps millions of patients in over 2,400 hospitals across the country.
- 80 percent of blood donations are given at blood drives

Schedule your appointment by visiting the Red Cross website, enter sponsor code: METROPARKSTOLEDO

Let's make an impact on May 22!

Note: If you're interested in helping but unable to donate blood, volunteers are needed to help with set up, tear-down, donor check-in, and to assist donors to the refreshment canteen. To volunteer for a shift, please sign up through Volgistics. For more information about this volunteer opportunity, contact Kelly Griffin, Volunteer Coordinator at
