GENERAL EVENT NOTICE: Due to recent concern over the spread of the corona virus, Toledo.com suggests confirming with the actual organizers that this event is still proceeding as planned.

Event Details:

We heard your request and we responded! Introducing our new designated hammocking locations at Oak Openings, Middlegrounds and Swan Creek Metroparks. We hand-picked these locations because of their beauty, cultural significance, and resiliency. These areas are free from delicate wildflowers, rare species, and oak trees to prevent the spread of the devastating oak wilt disease. Enjoy hanging out in your Metroparks! Take time to connect with healing elements of the outdoors and be refreshed as we hang out in the trees at Oak Openings Metroparks’ designated hammocking location. Interact with plants and wildlife in a playful way to increase a sense of stewardship and awareness of the stress reducing power of nature. Hammocks are available to borrow. There is not a restroom at this location so please plan accordingly. Following health official guidelines, all participants and staff must wear masks and abide by proper social distancing guidelines for the duration of the program.
