GENERAL EVENT NOTICE: Due to recent concern over the spread of the corona virus, Toledo.com suggests confirming with the actual organizers that this event is still proceeding as planned.

Event Details:
Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, Inc. (
ABLE
), Legal Aid of Western Ohio, Inc. (
LAWO
), and the
Toledo Bar Association
Pro Bono Legal Services Program will honor three individuals for their extraordinary service to economically disadvantaged people: Dean Horrigan, Esq., for his seniors advocacy, Veralucia Mendoza, an advocate for immigrant rights, and E. James Stengle, III, for lengthy volunteer service in support of ABLE, LAWO, and the Annual Access to Justice Dinner.
The awards will be presented during the 2020 Access to Justice Awards Celebration! The event is being converted to a virtual format as a health precaution stemming from the coronavirus pandemic. It will be held on Wednesday, September 30, with sponsor and VIP networking at 6:30 p.m. and the live event at 7:00 p.m. This year’s virtual format provides the unique opportunity for unlimited guest participation and removes any geographical barriers to attendance.
Lisa Rice, President and CEO of the National Fair Housing Alliance, will be the keynote speaker.
Sponsorship opportunities, individual reservations, and donations can be made online at: www.justiceforallcampaign.org/access-to-justice-awards.
