Join the NW Ohio Immigrant Rights Network and our local library partners in a community book discussion on "When Stars Are Scattered" by Victoria Jamieson and Omar Mohamed. This National Book Award Finalist tells the story of Omar and his brother Hassan, Somalian refugees who lived for years in a UN refugee camp in Kenya, waiting and working for an opportunity to find a new home.
Together we'll discuss their story and what it can teach us about the reality of life as an immigrant and refugee. This conversation is being co-hosted by Lucas County Public Library, Pemberville Public Library, Way Public Library, Welcome Toledo-Lucas County, and Wood County District Public Library.
