The City of Toledo, in collaboration with the University of Toledo and the Human Relations Commission, is honored to present the 2026 Martin Luther King Jr. Experience and Unity Day Celebration. This year’s theme, “Our Story, Our Strength,” highlights shared history, collective memory, and the ongoing work toward justice and equity.
The Unity Day Celebration program features reflections, performances, and community voices honoring the life and legacy of Dr. King. The program includes remarks from City and university leadership, artistic performances, and moments of reflection grounded in Dr. King’s words and vision.
Airing Monday, January 19th on the City and Univeristy of Toledo's website and social media pages, along with BCAN and in-person screening at the Toledo Museum of Art.
