UToledo Dorothy MacKenzie Price Piano Series Recital

The University of Toledo will host Christopher Guzman, a celebrated pianist with an extensive international performance career, as the guest artist for the Department of Music’s Dorothy MacKenzie Price Piano Series. 

Guzman will present a master class at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14, and a recital at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 15. He will also serve as a guest judge for the final round of a youth piano competition beginning at noon on Saturday, March 14. 

Each free, public event takes place in the Center for Performing Arts Recital Hall.

Guzman is known for his stylistic versatility. He has toured extensively throughout the United States, Asia and Europe, including major venues like New York’s Carnegie Hall, and earned top prizes at music competitions like the Walter M. Naumburg Competition in the United States, the Seoul International Music Competition in South Korea and the Concours International de Piano d'Orléans in France. 

Guzman is a professor of piano at the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University.
