Highway Air Pollution and Children’s Health: With Dr. Patrick Ryan, PhD

For 25 years, Dr. Patrick Ryan and his team at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and University of Cincinnati College of Medicine have extensively studied the harms to children’s health from highway pollutants, including detriments to developing brain structures, worsening childhood asthma, and anxiety and depression in children. Our coalition is hosting Dr. Ryan in Toledo to inform the community as ODOT plans to widen I-475 through residential neighborhoods and where many schools and childcare centers are nearby. We will have refreshment at 5:00 p.m. and the forum will begin at 5:45 p.m.. Monroe Street UMC site is accessible with designated parking.
