Event Details:

Lecture by Tedd Long, Toledo Historian presents Reams vs. Licavoli (final). Reams vs. Licavoli tells the true story of the 1934 trial that broke Toledo’s crime syndicate.  Mob boss Yonnie Licavoli never pulled the trigger—but prosecutors argued he ordered every murder. Using wiretaps and a daring conspiracy theory, Prosecutor Frazier Reams took on the most powerful criminal in the city and changed Toledo forever.

A dramatic follow-up to Tedd Long’s Unholy Toledo Tour, this presentation explores crime, law, and the dangerous line between justice and fear.

Space is limited to the first 50 people. Sign up soon to reserve your place.

The event will begin with a reception at 6:30 and lecture at 7:00 p.m. in the first floor parlor of the Libbey House, located in Toledo’s Historic Old West End at 2008 Scottwood.  Doors open at 6:15 p.m.

The cost of the lecture is $10, and includes the reception of wine and light appetizers prior to the talk.  Proceeds will go to the Libbey House Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the Edward Drummond and Florence Scott Libbey House in Toledo’s Historic Old West End.
