Have you ever considered a career in Transit? Our TARTA Drive the Bus event gives community members the chance to learn more about what careers are available.
Experience TARTA by driving a bus at an interactive hiring event on Saturday May 9th, 2026, and speaking with TARTA's Human Resources team about job openings and the benefits of a career in transit.
Applicants can stop by to apply, discuss open positions with TARTA personnel, and schedule an interview. They will also be able to try a bus on for size by driving the vehicle around TARTA’s back lot, under the supervision of Team TARTA members.
Applicants who want to get behind the wheel at this event must:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Have a valid operator’s license with no more than 2 points in the
last 3 years.
