Event Details:

Calling all junior anglers: join Fishing's Future at the refuge for an Introduction to Fishing program! Whether you're new to fishing or an experienced regular, there is always more to learn! During the program, participants will learn about tackle, casting, and handling fish. After learning about fishing, there will be open catch and release fishing time, with opportunities to ask questions and get one on one help from instructors.

The program at 10am is for anglers ages 10-12 (must be accompanied by a guardian for the duration of the program), while the 11am program is for 7-9 year olds. All fishing supplies will be provided, but it is recommended that participants come prepared with sunscreen, bug spray, and plenty of water!

Registration is required on Eventbrite. Limit is 10 participants. This is a free program.
