What to Expect
This is not your typical summer camp - it’s a true introduction to the craft of woodworking.
Designed for teens who are serious about learning, this small-group, hands-on experience (limited to just 4 students) provides direct access to professional tools, techniques, and instruction inside a working woodshop.
Over the course of the camp, each student will build three heirloom-quality projects:
-
A hardwood chessboard
-
A handcrafted wooden mallet
-
A diagonal cutting board
These aren’t pre-cut kits — students will measure, mill, cut, assemble, and finish each piece while learning the foundational skills of woodworking: precision, patience, problem-solving, and craftsmanship.
Along the way, they’ll gain confidence working with tools, develop an understanding of wood as a material, and experience the pride that comes from creating something built to last.
This is a rare opportunity to learn from experienced craftsmen in an environment where expectations are high, support is constant, and the results speak for themselves.
Please call the Workshop (419.754.1408) to make payment arrangements, if needed.
