Firecracker 5K Run Walk

Springfield Township's 3rd Annual Firecracker 5K Run/Walk is the first of four events offered during the 21st Annual Freedom Celebration.  There are registration fees to run or walk, but public admission and parking are free for all attendees.  The Freedom Celebration continues with the park opening at noon and featuring a variety of the region’s popular food trucks, and an adult beverage garden.  Arctic Clam, the first of two bands featured in the event's IGNITE THE NIGHT Concerts, takes the stage from 2:30-5:30pm; during the break the HEROhustle, featuring 10 area celebrities donning 9-ft inflatable dinosaur costumes racing for charity, takes place as well as a variety of other family-oriented activities; at 7:30, Not Face Enough takes the stage and will play until one or the region’s best and longest fireworks displays lights up the night!
