Complete 20 laps around this beautiful skating trail to remember those you've lost to cancer and honor the survivors in your life. Summer is in full force, which means the ice is out and the Ribbon is open for roller skates, roller blades, and kick scooters.
Ways to Get Involved
- Register for the 5K for $35 and fundraise for cancer research! Raise $1,000 or more to join our Meet & Greet with Scott Hamilton!
- Donate or sponsor to support cancer research. Participants, remember that any sponsorship you secure counts towards your personal fundraising goal!
- Invite your friends and family to join or donate.
Why Your Support Matters
Cancer impacts us all, but together we can change the story. In 2026 alone, more than 2.1 million Americans will hear the words “you have cancer,” and 626,140 lives will be lost - that’s more than one person every minute. Behind every number is a face, a family, and a future forever changed.
Funds raised through this event will support The Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation's national cancer research projects, and the enhancement and expansion of critical pediatric services at Nationwide Children’s - Toledo. The funds you raise will allow Nationwide Children's Toledo to:
- Strengthen Local Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Gene Therapy Consult Services, enabling northwest Ohio families to access Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and gene therapy consultations close to home, and ensuring timely evaluations, expert care coordination, and access to cutting-edge therapies.
- Expand Survivorship Program Services, providing comprehensive follow-up care, monitoring, and support for children who have completed cancer treatment locally. This includes enhanced clinical services, psychosocial support, educational resources, and wellness initiatives that address the long-term health and quality of life for pediatric cancer survivors.
