At the conclusion of the discussion, participants will enjoy a tour of the zoo highlighting the themes and topics of that meeting's book.
Tears for Crocodilia
What better way to celebrate the newly-renovated reptile house reopening than by highlighting one of the zoo’s favorite wild residents?! Tears for Corcodilia invites readers to reconsider some common misconceptions about some of the world’s most ancient and misunderstood animals. From the prehistoric to the post-modern, this book weaves science, folklore, and paleontology to help us view crocodilians not as monsters-of the deep, but as resilient and complex beings. Following the book discussion, participants will meet one of the zoo’s herpetologists for a tour of the new reptile house and to learn more about crocodilian behavior and husbandry.
