Event Details:
In honor of Lake Erie Awareness Day, join staff and volunteers of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge and Partners for Clean Streams for a cleanup at Toussaint Wildlife Area and Turtle Creek Fishing Access! Both the Toussaint River and Turtle Creek flow into Lake Erie. We will meet at the Toussaint Wildlife Area along OH-19 (GPS location name: “Toussaint Area”), pick up any trash we encounter, and then caravan over to Turtle Creek Fishing Access located along Route 2 (GPS location name: “Turtle Creek Access East Marsh”) and do the same. Please wear comfortable walking shoes, dress for the weather, and bring water. Supplies such as gloves, bags, and trash pickers will be provided. Registration is required on Eventbrite. Call (419) 607-7506 for more information.
Note: DO NOT go to the address on this event as it is for the Ottawa NWR Visitor Center. Toussaint Area does not have an address. Call or text if you need assistance figuring out the location.
