Event Details:
Every so often the sun, moon, and Earth align just right to put on a show. Peer through a telescope and watch the moon turn red as it moves through the Earth's shadow with amateur astronomer Jim Gasser, who will explain the science behind the spectacle. Bring a camp chair (recommended), and dress for the weather. This is a deep partial eclipse, where most but not all of the moon will turn red as it is covered by the Earth's shadow.
