18th Annual Sacred Strings Showcase & Museum Tour

The Sacred Steel Music & History Museum and Sacred Strings Records, Inc. invite the community to experience a unique celebration of faith, music, and history during the 18th Annual Sacred Strings Showcase on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Sacred Steel Music & History Museum, located inside Collingwood Presbyterian Church, 2108 Collingwood Boulevard (entrance off Floyd Street), Toledo, Ohio.

The event begins with free museum tours from Noon to 2:00 p.m., offering visitors an opportunity to explore the history, instruments, photographs, recordings, and stories that have shaped the Sacred Steel tradition. A live Sacred Steel Gospel Concert will follow beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Sacred Steel is a distinctive African American gospel music tradition that originated in churches and transformed the steel guitar into a powerful instrument of worship and praise. Toledo has played an important role in preserving and promoting this rich musical heritage, making the city a meaningful location for this annual celebration.
